Selecting which is right for
you
For most enthusiasts this is the
easiest decision to make, in that they will want to maximise the amount of
knowledge and experience that they can get, and avoid waiting for
others to have items explained to them, that they are already very familiar
with. For this reason all enthusiasts should select one to one tuition.
Quite a few people have a good
film background but have found they have not got all the benefits from
digital that they had hoped for, or have been disappointed by the results
they have produced from some of the latest cameras. While we have
occasionally found problems with cameras brought in, usually it's a case of
not having fully understood all the options available, and how to get
spectacular results from this technology. Where necessary we can compare
cameras, compare lenses and work with the cameras tethered to computers to
see instant results.
Generally people achieve the
least the larger the group and the more, the more individual the attention.
Tutors know that they cover far less ground with a group than with an
individual. A group of three people achieves about five times the subject
coverage as a larger group, and an individual on their own achieves about
three times what a group of three do. You can see this means that for those
that want to achieve a great deal faster, in 3 to 5 days you can cover what would
take a group of people attending a residential course a couple of months to
achieve.
If you have just one day
available, then starting with the HNK course, in a day you become confident
and competent, you start by very quickly going over the basics of photography, going fast
over what you already understand or can follow and slowing down where
necessary to look and experiment, look through many lenses, have a short
introduction to Nikon Capture NX editing, get to understand your cameras controls and menus
fully and far more. With more days you can become proficient in editing, mastering
flash, macro, and many other specialist areas. When you take more courses
including those with some other photographic training providers you can
qualify for discounts.
Some prefer a more discussion
based approach and come to see us for a day or more with a list of points or
topics they want to look at, we are equally able to work with this approach,
although having some idea in advance helps as we can get equipment out and

Most popular day courses,
would be a good start, selecting the buttons on the left, will either give

One to One - discover
just how much you can achieve on one to one training,
either on a day or over several days. You can have a day or days arranged
to exactly suit your interests, there are suggested multi day courses, and
a wide range of suggestions of what you could do in a day. The most common
and ideal start point for enthusiasts is
the HNK, Hands on a Nikon day course, although you can add more days to
this or take one of the multi day versions which includes the HNK element.
If you have the time available why not consider the
executive special MD3, that takes 4
days and 3 evenings. There are a lot more options to explore. With all 1
to 1, you get to choose the dates.

VIP PLUS - a course
that includes nearly everything, for example the
course in Ghana West
Africa, including training experience, accommodation, food, and 4WD with
driver/guide in addition to 1 to 1 photo tutor. The best course on the
planet, allowing very rapid training and loads of varied experience.

Extended photography
skills course, this is a large 18 month course that requires a lot of
commitment. Maybe worth a look if you are starting out intending to move
rapidly to professional status. This is arranged so that you do the parts
first that is most relevant to your interests so can get earning fast if
you wish.

Business
courses for those that want to create a full or part time income or
just make their hobby pay for itself, after all, all the lenses and other
items you would really like, would cost probably more than you choose to
spend right now.

Systematic learning -
this looks at how a person can start with no or very little knowledge or
experience, build on this in a structured way at their own speed to get to
whatever level of expertise they choose.

Personal learning plan
- with this option we assist you to put together a personal learning plan to
suit your own interests. It can be made up of courses that exist and
elements that are defined, as well as assignments and other features. The
plan can be modified or expanded as your skills and confidence grow.

good photographers (take a look at our limited edition website), that
have a lot of photographic experience as well as in both business and
training. On the limited edition side, we do the lot ourselves from
the photography and editing, through printing to making the frames and
framing the images.
We are enthusiastic about photography,
and take very many photographs ourselves across a wide range of
subjects, in some cases just to experiment and discover more of what
we can do.
We have loads of photographic
experience it is unlikely that you, or a professional photographer
would have a question that we could not answer. We don't employ or
farm out any training to others.
We specialise in Nikon DSLR's, and use
these ourselves, so we really know these well, what they do, and how
to make them produce the best. We could not do this if we tried to
cover more makes.

flashes, including a 10 flash mobile studio, and a 5 flash Nikon
creative lighting system, a full framing
workshop, close up equipment, quite a few computers, and far more, with
