NEW January 2009
We have a new type of course - VIP Plus, this includes training and loads of varied experience and nearly everything is included in the price including accommodation, food, entry fees .... The first of these is available in Ghana West Africa, has a choice of 3 training programs and of 6, 10 or 13 days. Includes accommodation food, entry, and air conditioned 4WD and driver/guide in addition to photo tutor. You get to photograph so much, fully supported, and have the experience of a lifetime.
From February we are adding VIP Plus anywhere
Nikon have recently brought out the D3X, it was expected, its a FX (full Frame) with a DX capability similar to the D300 as well.
We have not found the time to re-write this website, its still on our to do list.
We have dropped the picture framing courses.
August 2008
Nikon have brought out a new camera, the D700, which is a FX (full frame) a cross between a D300 and D3 plus a new flash the SB900. We are able to train on these now.
We have added to our items here a device that allows us to Geotag images, this works with the D200, D300, D700 and D3. This is small and fits on the top of the camera. It ads to the information on each photo the latitude and longitude that it was taken at.
We are starting to look again at updating this website, the objective being to simplify it and allow a more structured approach. Some of the work we have done with the weekly magazine suite has allowed us to work out how to better control page layouts as well as becoming aware that people are using so many different screen resolutions al of which will see pages differently. Do you see a need for any courses we have not listed, if so why not suggest them. We can structure a course to handle your own requirements.
Photographers resource has continued to grow, becoming far larger faster than we initially intended, but its now used and appreciated by a lot of people so it is worth all the extra work that we put in.
July 2008
We continue to develop more courses, and master new items, cameras, software etc, we can now train editing in Capture NX2. Its about 50% larger then NX1 but we can still cover it in a day, but there is less hands on time, consider adding an evening as well or spreading it over two days.
The newsletter has grown and become a major resource for photographers being re-branded Photographers resource. This is now huge, and expanding every Friday, as all content is indexed its easy to get the information you need.
Photo Skills is about to start some new FREE training courses online, both in basis photography and Photoshop training.
Photography Skills has added an introductory course covering any make of camera, for those who haven't yet reached the standard to undertake their masterclasses.
February 2008
New low cost Quick start courses. These are designed to get you started, using what you have now, economically, and rapidly. You would get to be able to achieve more than you would by attending a group course but not get the depth of knowledge and experience you would on our other courses.
We have three quick start courses available at the moment:-
Quick Start:- Getting started with your camera
Quick Start:- Flash
Quick Start:- Capture NX editing

Free weekly Newsletter is proving popular, and we have greatly increased the reference information, you can now see what is on for the next two months that you might like to photograph, major events for up to a year ahead, the wildlife and nature calendar, locations to visit, and a lot of reference information as well as a growing library of articles.
December 2007
D. Removal of email newsletter registration
We tested the email delivery system we had decided to use some months back and it worked well, but since then many systems have installed anti spam software and we now find that both the emails to allow people to register and the email newsletters are being filtered out by them. So rather then have a patchy service we decided to remove it for now, we may look again at this or other methods in the future. The main newsletter and its website in unaffected.
C. Websites revised and 1st weekly newsletter comes online. 14th Dec
The new free weekly newsletter/magazine has started, you can get to the current edition at any time from this website or directly. Each newsletter adds to the website it sits within, so that the website will grow into a major resource for photographers. Even with the first edition you will find quite a lot is already available, take a look and try to imagine what this will look like in a few months time with a lot more information added week on week. We are working on a major review of the D300 to come out soon, and have many more items planned.
Our Camera Images websites menu system has been changed across our websites to have a similar look and to assist people to find things easier. It also allows far easier movement from one site to another and back again. This site now has two menus a new standard set that opens up to show more options and an extended menu that shows all options from the beginning. Colour coding has also been added, and a help page added to help to explain this and resolve problems.
Another new website, or sub webs have come online, this will allow us to cover the shorts, the 3 hour modules that allows courses to be constructed to suit your requirements both economically and in a flexible way. You will find that you can move to this and back again.
The front door page of this website has been updated, and forms a portal page to allow access to all our photography training sites. The same will be done to other main websites.
We have also added a very simple basic web, for those that find there are just too many options, and too much to read. The basic web contains only 4 courses and has a direct booking form for these only, with standard day lengths and no other options.
Minor changes have been made to many pages within this website. The next changes being worked on includes adding more photos and splitting some large pages.
B. Newsletter and 'shorts' 6th Dec
New Newsletter - copy for mailing to clients now available online - see newsletter section within news.
'Shorts' booking arrangements greatly simplified, with restrictions removed. New sub web concentrating on 'shorts' with a wide variety of topics from 14th of this month.

November 2007
D. D300 and D3 Training
We now have a D300. (28th Nov)
We now have D300 and D3 camera manuals (23rd Nov), as well as a detailed printed booklet on the D300. Over the next week we will be able to extract information from these and using existing outlines for D200 and D2X be able to create the new courses. Both a HNK course 'hands on a Nikon day' and a conversion 'short' 3 hour course will be available for each camera from the 1st December.
C. Minor revision, in part brought about by monitoring questions to support line
Revised calendar system brought into use to implement booking of 'Shorts' and variable length days, also now opens in new window to ease use. Calendar also better integrated with calendars for Photography Skills and Photo Skills, so any calendar version can now work out when you can book both Camera Images courses and Photography Skills masterclasses, particularly relevant when booking multi day combinations.
HNK, CNX, and CLG pages extended to discuss different day lengths, and CLG also covering better use of models.
Prices page updated to better illustrate price ranges coming about by taking the benefits of training vouchers. Plus Extra page added for larger volume/trade rates of training vouchers.
New Newsletter - copy for mailing to clients now available online - new section within news.
D300 and D3 training update - instruction manuals are not yet available for these cameras (19th Nov 07), no one we know of has yet seen production models. D300 is so similar to D200, that you could have training on the D200. We will be shortly adding a 'short' to look at the difference between one camera model and another. Consider the D3 a replacement for the D2H not the D2X, and if an existing client contact us before committing to switch from a D2 camera to a D3, there are advantages and disadvantages.
Other minor page changes.
B. NEW DEALS - Don't miss the deals page, you will find FREE NIKON CAMERA KITS

October 2007
Masterclasses have been introduced for those who already have a good basic knowledge, each cover a single topic in much more detail. We have not added them to Camera Images, as there are quite a few differences between these and the courses run under the Camera Images brand, instead we have created a new training brand, Photography Skills - Beyond the Basics, an explanation is on the Masterclasses page on this website, but they also now have their own website at www.photography-skills.co.uk some Masterclasses are available now, more will be added over the next few months. (update July 88 : now also offers introduction course across any make).
Photo-skills.co.uk (updated July 88) offers free online courses
Price structure introduced to Photo Skills and Photography Skills, based on training vouchers worth one hours 1 to 1, this is also to be introduced shortly to Camera Images as well. Training vouchers will be able to be used across all three soon and hopefully others as well later.
