Models
We use models both for training and for photographic projects of various types including our fine art photography.
Models are used in quite a few training days, such as portraiture, in some cases practical days on flash and creative lighting, and at other times we feel we can achieve more with the aid of a model to work with.
If a photographer feels they would like to work with a model to expand their experience, and this will often be with studio work, or where they want to expand their portfolio, then we can arrange this.
Generally where we decide to include a model we pay the cost of including them, while where a photographer requests it, then they will usually be charged for it, at 1 training voucher for up to 2 hours. In most cases a model will be required only for a couple of hours in each day, but in some cases a photographer may like to have either longer or to have two models, with an overlap on occasions, particularly where building portfolios.
The models are used to assist you in leaning, or expanding a portfolio you can show others, and are under the direction of the tutor, you will be able to ask them to pose slightly differently. Models used here are not involved in any type of work where they would be of interest to those who might raid us to see them.
If you want to photograph nudes or other such work, this will not be done here or with these models, we can arrange this but at studios elsewhere and with models that regularly take on this type of work. In such cases images are then on plug in hard drives never kept at our centre and we always advise all clients to never have such work in their homes or offices, so that if you do get a 'raid' there is nothing they find interesting and come back, again, and again, and again to drool over. You may see such work as art, others may have other interests.
Do you know someone interested in being a model, then suggest they see the information below.

We have a small register of models we use. They are paid for modelling where a client is involved, but not on some additional free training sessions we give them. We could get some models for free, but we always pay, as we want all models to realise they are undertaking a contractual role, where reliability is absolute.
We charge models out to photographers at the rate of 1 training voucher for up to 2 hours. As training vouchers are often bought at a discount in larger numbers you can easily convert this to an hourly rate so we have simplified it. Models get £15 an hour when we have included them in the course at no additional cost to clients and £25 an hour when requested and paid for by clients. In many cases we will be paying the models more than we receive for their time from photographers.
Models work across Camera Images, Photography Skills, Photo Skills and Camera Images Limited Edition Art projects. There are no agency fees.
